School Holiday Painting Workshops

My children’s ‘Painting Workshops’ are a bit different – as we don’t paint simple or childish things!

My approach to these workshops is to really stretch your child’s imagination and ability by painting things that are a bit harder and a bit more creative.

My gentle and encouraging teaching method will hopefully really see results and plant the seed for a creative life.

If your child comes home with a painting which resembles mine it means they have really jumped into the process.

If not, it just means the have aimed for the stars but ended up in the clouds and that still is a wonderful thing…it also means that with each workshop they will get better and better…

My classes are results driven but as a mother of four children myself, I do understand how everyone learns at different speeds, and as we have different ages in the group too there will be different results due to this as well. This is why my classes are small to ensure there is plenty of individual attention.

You can book your child/children into either a morning or afternoon workshop or both workshops on the one day. If you book both for your child/children, it will mean they are with me from 10am to 3pm, with a lunch break. If you book for both workshops – please send your child with a lunch that does not require refrigeration and please send all children with a full drink bottle.

I just love seeing the creativity in young minds and I look forward to your child/children joining me.

 

 

Important information

Children have to be 7yrs plus to attend, please note your child/children’s names and ages in the NOTES section when you book.

You can book your child/children into both morning and afternoon sessions you just have to also include their lunch (with a cold pack) and their own drink bottle. There is a 1 hr break between sessions for lunch.

Morning classes start at 10am and afternoon classes start at 1pm. Each session goes for two hours. Please ensure you arrive 5-10 mins early to allow for us to start on time.

The afternoon session ends at 3pm. Please arrive at this time for collection. We may sometimes run a little overtime however you can wait in the foyer.

I do not offer refunds or credits as a lot of time and expense goes into preparing for these workshops. However if your child cannot attend the booked one class you can request to change to another class in the School holiday program if there is availability. This can be done up to 2 weeks prior to the event. If your child is unwell in anyway please contact me in advance via text. Please do not send unwell children to my workshops as it is unfair to all the other children.

No refunds can be offered in the unlikely case of a COVID lockdown as this situation is out of my control, however where possible I will try and transfer your child’s booking to another suitable school holiday workshop

In the unlikely event that less than four children are booked for a workshop, the workshop will be cancelled and monies paid refunded or you can be swapped to another workshop if there is availability.

As there will possibly be a wide age group in some workshops, I will work at a pace to suit the mid age group, giving individual assistance as needed. To get the most benefit out of these workshops, it is important that your child wants to attend and can stay focussed for the two hour workshops.

Lastly we will have fun, as mentioned I pride myself on my gentle and encouraging teaching method, I love painting and I really love sharing this love with both children and adults.

I will sometimes use photos of your children whilst taking part in one of my classes to promote other classes and for other online marketing purposes. If you are not comfortable with this please advise me at the time of booking and also make your child aware so that during the class they know that they are not to be included in the photos.

COVID - in the case that there is an unavoidable Covid Lockdown
COVID – in the case that there is an unavoidable Covid Lockdown – workshops will be rescheduled to a date in the future. At least (7) days notice will be given for any new date for a rescheduled classes.
A lot of time, effort and expense goes into my events so no refunds can be offered as this situation is completely out my control.
I understand that the rescheduled date may not suit everyone but unfortunately I can only reschedule once. It is a lot of work for me to reschedule events as my calendar is worked well in advance.
In the case of ‘After School Classes’ I will be creating videos for home activities where necessary.
